| Agility is a timed obstacle course that you run with your dog off leash. There are jumps, tunnels, weave poles, aframes, dog walks, teeter totters, closed tunnels and more. The obstacle course is run in the order set by the judge and require's strategy and special handling techniques. It is a high drive sport for both handlers and dogs. |

| FOUNDATION This is the class that starts your love for the sport of dog agility. They include sits, downs, stays, jump chutes, equipment come, stay by me, one jump work, jump chutes, equipment drills, front cross, rear cross and familiarization, weave poles, box work drills, front cross, rear cross and much more. We use clickers, targets, toys and food for rewards. Only positive reinforcement methods are used. |
| BEGINNING After you have mastered all the foundation skills, we start learning to put them into sequences. We continue box work drills and obstacle work. It is the next level that prepares you to start doing Novice sequences. In this class you will be doing full equipment with contacts, weave poles without wires and with challenging entrances, learning the Greg Derrett handling system, and much more. |
| NOVICE, OPEN, EXCELLENT By now you are totally hooked on this sport and your dog just can't wait to get in the car to come to class. As you progress through your training, you will learn to run courses at the Novice level and advancing even further into Open and Excellent. As you get comfortable with the Novice exercises you will start to compete. There are different agility venues, even those that take mixed breed dogs. Come join us in this terrific sport. |
